XCX3 (Charli XCX Album)

Charli XCX’s long-delayed and yet-to-be titled third studio album. It is expected to be released late 2018 through Asylum Records, a division of Atlantic Records.

The majority of the production was originally planned to come from past collaborators StarGate and SOPHIE, with additional production from BloodPop®. Other writers on the project included Fred Gibson, The Invisible Men, MNDR, Noonie Bao, and RAYE.

The original lead single was 2016’s “After The Afterparty,” which has since been scrapped in favor of 2017’s “Boys.” In May 2018, she started to drop singles monthly, starting with “5 In The Morning”. June’s release was a double A-side of “Focus” and “No Angel”, and long-time fan favorite “Girls Night Out” was released in July.

It is currently unknown whether this album will ever surface, let alone in 2018, as her label now seems to favour mixtapes.

There have been rumors that the album was to be titled “XCX World” or “Too Cute,” but neither of these titles were actually considered.
